Yesterday was a good day to start knocking out the Heroic hard modes needed to start the climb towards meeting Algalon the Observer. It took us about four tries for the Flame Leviathan hard mode and three shots to get through XT002.

We had weeks of practice with Flame Leviathan and two towers and then a few weeks ago we got three towers hard mode tackled. But wanting to get a few more Yogg kills delayed the FL+4 shot until yesterday. And since we had time to mess around a little we toyed with XT-002 Heartless style and the robot keeled over for us.  Additionally, the week before we got the Assembly of Iron “medium” mode done to start the Heroic Algalon quest series. We two shot that encounter which went a lot smoother than anticipated.

We should have gotten this one done within two or three raid weeks but slacked away till just tonight. Summer arrived early, raiders flew off, tanks disappeared and I picked up a shield. I hate server transfers. Ok so no more excuses. Big scary blob of a mouth god is dead and will probably be smacked around like a pinata from this point on.

We are down to 9 hours of raiding a week and still having fun in Ulduar. So maybe this content will last a bit longer. The hard modes we have been messing around with have been fun and challenging and now we have reason to focus on knocking those out. Plus there is still Alganon to work towards. And nublets everyday still yap on about how raiding is like a job. Wish I had this much fun at work with those few hours.
